DescriptionThe Technology Partnerships and Investment Branch of Alberta Economic Development and Trade partners with a range of organizations, including provincial science and innovation organizations (universities and colleges), other parts of Alberta’s innovation system, multinational enterprises (MNEs), governments, and other non-government organizations to support provincial priorities related to innovation and economic development.
The primary purpose of the branch is to facilitate and support joint technology development and commercialization projects between small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) from Alberta and partner jurisdictions.  The branch also develops and maintains a network of strategic relationships with global multinational enterprises (MNEs) to attract technologies that address unmet needs in Alberta, to attract corporate investment, grow their presence in the province, and support local sector growth.
